No discussion about Artificial Intelligence (AI) is complete without a diverse set of voices. Join us for an inspiring evening where we will hear from talented women in the field of AI ethics share their experience, and network with others working hard to prevent unintended risks for AI applications.
This meetup is inspired by the “100 Women in AI Ethics” list authored by Mia Dand, CEO of Lighthouse3. It is a local precursor to the first global gathering of women on that list which will occur at the ORBIT conference in Oxford later this Fall. This smaller group will gather together to take a closer look at the current state, opportunities, challenges, and what lies ahead for women in AI working to make it an inclusive technology for all.
The event will be hosted by Microsoft at their 1355 Market St. San Francisco office on Wednesday, August 21 from 6p-8p.
Registration start: 5.30p
Icebreaker/networking with drinks + appetizers: 6.00p-6.30p
Main event – talk + panel discussion: 6.30p-7.30p
Event wrap up: 8.00p
We invite all women currently working in and/or interested in the development of AI technology that is ethical and beneficial to humanity. We also welcome our male and non-binary allies to join us for this inclusive and insightful event.
